KFC's Open House will introduce a variety of new offerings, including breakfast items like breakfast sandwiches and mini cronuts, as well as beverages such as boba refreshers. The restaurant will feature table service, dual drive-thru lanes, and self-ordering kiosks, allowing KFC to gather insights on customer preferences and operational efficiency.
Catherine Tan-Gillespie, president of KFC U.S., emphasized that this initiative aims to attract new customers and re-engage existing ones while identifying successful concepts for broader implementation across the chain.
This move is part of a larger rebranding strategy by KFC, which is facing stiff competition from other fast-food chicken brands, as evidenced by its ranking as the fifth largest in U.S. sales. In its recent earnings report, KFC reported a same-store sales growth of 2%, with a notable 6% increase in its largest market, China.
The Open House, set to open on September 26, is a strategic effort to innovate and adapt to changing consumer demands in the fast-food landscape
