Meta is set to begin testing subscription services for its AI features, with plans priced at $7.99 for the Meta One Plus and $19.99 for the Meta One Premium. This initiative aims to provide users with enhanced capabilities, allowing for more complex requests and advanced tools for businesses and creators.
Naomi Gleit, head of product at Meta, emphasized that these premium tools will help users enhance their online presence and automate tasks. The testing will commence next month in Singapore, Guatemala, and Bolivia, following the launch of the standalone Meta AI app last year.
This development comes after Meta's significant investment in AI, including the hiring of Scale AI's Alexandr Wang and the introduction of its new AI model, Muse Spark. Following the announcement, Meta's shares experienced a nearly 4% increase, indicating positive market reception to the company's strategic pivot towards AI monetization
