Analysts Wells Fargo raised Snowflake (SNOW) target price to $500, expecting an 85% upside

Wells Fargo's recent analysis highlights a strong bullish sentiment towards Snowflake, raising its price target from $320 to $500, the highest on Wall Street. This adjustment comes as the bank's analyst, Ryan MacWilliams, emphasizes that Snowflake is poised to benefit from the increasing integration of artificial intelligence in business operations.

Earlier this year, concerns about AI disrupting the software-as-a-service model caused Snowflake's shares to drop over 44%. However, the stock has since rebounded, gaining more than 20% year-to-date. MacWilliams notes that AI is driving increased spending on Snowflake's services, leading to greater product consumption and data uploads by customers.

He argues that Snowflake's current valuation of 127 times forward earnings should be closer to the multiples of peers like Cloudflare and Crowdstrike, which trade at 204 and 139 times, respectively. This suggests that the market may be underestimating Snowflake's growth potential as AI becomes a primary growth driver.

Following the price target increase, Snowflake's shares rose by over 1%, and overall analyst sentiment remains positive, with 46 out of 52 analysts rating the stock as a buy or strong buy
