Palantir (PLTR) Reports 93% Revenue Growth Driven by AI Demand, Shares Jump 16%

Palantir Technologies reported a remarkable 93% increase in overall revenue, reaching $1.94 billion, which surpassed LSEG estimates of $1.8 billion. The company's commercial revenue surged by 149% to $764 million, while government revenue rose by 90% to $809 million.

CEO Alex Karp characterized the quarter as 'otherworldly,' attributing the strong performance to a growing demand for AI sovereignty, as organizations seek to protect their data from major AI labs like OpenAI and Google. In a letter to shareholders, Karp emphasized the importance of independence in AI usage, stating that businesses are increasingly wary of relying on external language models.

Despite a 29% decline in stock value this year, analysts from Citi noted that Palantir's results challenge the bearish outlook on AI competition, suggesting that the company is well-positioned to benefit from the ongoing enterprise AI adoption. They anticipate a significant rebound in Palantir's stock due to its strong commercial performance, which counters concerns about slowing growth
