OpenAI has entered into multiple agreements across various sectors in the UAE, including energy, investment, and government, as part of its strategy to attract funding from regional investors. CEO Sam Altman met with Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, to discuss these initiatives.

The company is looking to raise $20 billion in a new funding round, co-led by UAE investors, following substantial previous raises, including $122 billion in March.

The partnerships include collaborations with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and G42 to implement OpenAI's technology, as well as agreements with sovereign investor Mubadala and Inception42 to enhance investment analysis through AI. Additionally, the Abu Dhabi Government is working with OpenAI to convert government policies into machine-readable formats.

Altman emphasized the UAE's commitment to responsible AI integration, which aims to ensure that the benefits of AI technology are widely accessible
