American Airlines to Open New Grab-and-Go Lounge at JFK Airport by Year-End

American Airlines plans to launch a 3,700-square-foot grab-and-go lounge at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport by the end of this year. This facility will feature a barista bar offering hot and iced coffee, along with a selection of grab-and-go food options.

The introduction of this lounge is part of a broader trend among airlines to create more accessible spaces for premium customers, particularly as they face increasing competition from Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. American's previous grab-and-go lounge, named Provisions, opened last year at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

The airline has not updated its JFK facilities recently, unlike its lounges in cities such as Chicago and Austin, which could impact its ability to attract high-value travelers. The new lounge aims to enhance the customer experience for credit card holders and frequent flyers, as airlines tighten access to existing lounges to manage crowding
