Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) shares rise 13% following strong Q3 earnings and raised full-year guidance

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings reported third-quarter revenue of $2.95 billion, surpassing Wall Street's forecast of $2.88 billion. The company achieved a net income of $491 million, or $1.07 per share, and adjusted EBITDA of $937 million, which was above its prior guidance of $874 million.

Adjusted EPS also exceeded expectations, coming in at $1.12 compared to the previous guidance of 90 cents and analysts' predictions of 94 cents. Following this strong performance, Norwegian raised its full-year guidance, projecting 2026 adjusted EBITDA of $2.55 billion and adjusted EPS of about $1.70. Although bookings have improved modestly, they remain below optimal levels.

To address this, Norwegian plans to implement new marketing strategies, including a new platform launching in January, and anticipates that enhancements like a new waterpark at its Great Stirrup Cay private island will drive demand.

Additionally, the company announced that Chief Financial Officer Mark Kempa will resign after over 25 years, with Meghan Montana, the current chief strategy officer, set to take over the role on January 1
