Coca-Cola is expected to announce its quarterly earnings on Tuesday, with consensus estimates from LSEG predicting earnings per share of 88 cents and revenue of $12.92 billion. Despite inflation and economic uncertainty affecting consumer spending, Coca-Cola has maintained strong sales across its product range, including premium brands like Fairlife and its flagship soda.
In contrast, PepsiCo has struggled, recently lowering its full-year earnings forecast due to weak demand in its U.S. soda business. Additionally, Coca-Cola has secured the U.S. business of KFC, a former Pepsi customer, further enhancing its competitive position. For the full year, Coca-Cola projects a 9% to 10% growth in comparable earnings per share and an organic revenue increase of about 5%.
The company is also investing $10 billion in U.S. infrastructure through 2030, which includes projects in California and New York. Coca-Cola's shares have risen approximately 32% this year, significantly outperforming the S&P 500's 12% gain, and the company currently has a market capitalization of around $398 billion
