Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp announced that the company will not rebuild the same launchpad where its New Glenn rocket exploded during a hot-fire test last month. Instead, they will implement a 'horizontal/vertical hybrid' launch configuration using existing infrastructure, which is expected to enhance their flight frequency.

The explosion occurred just before a scheduled launch of Amazon Leo satellites, highlighting the urgency for Blue Origin to restore its launch capabilities. The New Glenn rocket is vital for Blue Origin's competition with SpaceX, which currently leads the market with its reusable rockets.

Limp noted that the company is investigating the cause of the explosion, with early indications pointing to issues in the aft section of the first stage. Reconstruction of the launchpad is already in progress, and despite the setbacks, Limp expressed optimism about the future operations of Blue Origin, emphasizing their commitment to reliability as a launch provider
