Apple (AAPL) and Palantir (PLTR) shares decline in premarket trading following earnings reports

In premarket trading on Tuesday, Apple shares fell by 4.4% and Palantir shares dropped by 5.9% after both companies released their earnings reports on Monday evening. Apple reported fourth-quarter revenue that exceeded expectations; however, it did not meet forecasts for iPad sales and provided a margin outlook that disappointed investors.

On the other hand, Palantir surpassed Wall Street's third-quarter estimates, marking a significant milestone as its U.S. commercial revenue outpaced government revenue for the first time. This mixed performance from both companies has raised concerns among investors, leading to the decline in their stock prices
