Stocks to Watch: Alibaba, Quest Diagnostics, On Holding, GameStop and More

Alibaba's shares rose over 3% following CEO Eddie Wu's announcement at the Apsara Conference that Alibaba Cloud aims to operate more than 20 gigawatts of data centers globally by 2032. Additionally, the company launched the Zhenwu V900 chip, which may enhance its competitive edge in the tech sector.

In contrast, Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp Holdings saw their shares drop more than 5% each after a report from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services indicated that Medicare has been paying 16% more for laboratory services compared to private payors. This change could lead to reduced revenues for these companies as Medicare aligns its payments with private sector rates.

Vicor's shares surged 9% after the company provided optimistic third-quarter guidance, forecasting over 20% sequential revenue growth, significantly higher than its previous estimate of nearly 10%. On Holding's stock jumped more than 6% after it set ambitious midterm financial targets, including net sales of at least CHF5.6 billion by 2029 and a gross profit margin of 65%.

The company also announced a share repurchase plan of up to $1 billion by December 2029. Lastly, GameStop's shares increased by 3.5% after CEO Ryan Cohen revealed he purchased 1.2 million shares, indicating his confidence in the company's future prospects
