Intel's shares surged by 9% after reporting its highest quarterly revenue growth in nearly 15 years, with Q2 revenue reaching $16.1 billion, a 25% increase from the previous year. Adjusted earnings per share of 42 cents also exceeded analyst expectations.
In contrast, Deckers Outdoor saw a 3% drop in its stock price, as its first-quarter revenue of $1.02 billion met consensus estimates but fell short in revenue from its Hoka and Ugg brands.
Robert Half's shares fell approximately 9% after reporting second-quarter earnings of 26 cents per share, which matched forecasts, but revenue of $1.34 billion only slightly surpassed the consensus of $1.32 billion. Boston Beer, however, experienced a 2% increase in its stock price after reporting second-quarter revenue of $568.3 million, which narrowly beat the FactSet consensus.
The company reaffirmed its full-year earnings guidance of $8.50 to $10.50 per share, compared to the consensus estimate of $9.38. SAP's stock rose by 3% following a 27% year-over-year increase in its cloud backlog, reaching 22.9 billion euros, with revenue of 9.88 billion euros slightly above forecasts.
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) saw a more than 2% increase in its stock price after announcing at its Advancing AI presentation that its server CPU market is projected to grow over 50% to $200 billion by 2030, driven by advancements in artificial intelligence, and that its AI accelerator market could reach $1.4 trillion by 2030
