The latest weekly survey reveals that optimism among individual investors regarding the stock market's six-month outlook has risen to 40.3%, the highest level since mid-July, up from 34.6% the previous week. This increase is notable as it surpasses the historical average of 37.5%.
Conversely, the percentage of investors identifying as bearish has decreased to 39.0% from 46.5% last week, marking a significant drop from 53.3% just three weeks ago. Historically, bearish sentiment typically accounts for 31.5% of respondents, and this is the first time it has fallen below that level since January 2026.
Additionally, the proportion of neutral investors has increased to 20.8% from 18.9%, although this remains below the historical average of 31.0%. This shift in sentiment could indicate a more favorable environment for stocks in the near term, as increased optimism often correlates with market performance
