Nvidia has announced plans to invest in four German startups—Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo, and Reflex Aerospace—aimed at bolstering the country's industrial AI capabilities. This initiative is part of Nvidia's nearly $10 billion commitment to support companies and research institutions across Europe, revealed during the Invest in Germany Summit in Berlin.
The startups focus on various applications, including AI-powered robotics, hospital management software, audio generation for videos, and satellite design. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz emphasized the importance of AI for the economy, particularly in manufacturing and automotive sectors, urging small and medium-sized businesses to leverage their existing data for AI integration.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang supported this vision, asserting that AI would enhance Germany's industrial strengths rather than replace them. Additionally, Nvidia is expanding its collaboration with the German government to promote industrial AI adoption, highlighted by a joint declaration signed on the same day.
This strategic investment aligns with broader trends in Europe, where countries are increasingly prioritizing AI development to maintain competitiveness in the global market
