Skye Anderson, a 26-year veteran of McDonald's, will take over as president of the U.S. business effective immediately, succeeding Joe Erlinger, who will remain as an advisor until early 2027. Anderson's previous roles include chief operating officer for McDonald's USA and leadership of the Global Business Services segment, where she improved operational efficiency. Her track record includes significant achievements in the U.S. West Zone, where she increased average restaurant unit cash flow by $100,000 and achieved over 30% same-store sales growth.
McDonald's recently reported second-quarter earnings that exceeded Wall Street estimates, although revenue fell short, with U.S. same-store sales growing only 0.8% and a decline in restaurant traffic. The company has been focusing on value meals and innovative promotions to attract customers, but it faces the challenge of maintaining momentum in same-store sales growth.
