Larry Ellison has reversed his plan to sell up to 50 million shares of Oracle, which would have amounted to approximately $7.5 billion at current prices. This decision follows a regulatory filing that disclosed his trading plan, initially adopted on June 22 and set to conclude on October 24.

Notably, no shares were sold under this plan, and Ellison has stated he has no further intentions to sell any of his Oracle shares. At 82 years old, Ellison retains over 40% ownership of Oracle, which he founded in 1977. His leadership has been pivotal in transforming Oracle from a traditional software company into a key player in artificial intelligence infrastructure.

However, the company has also accumulated significant debt, and its stock has seen a decline of about 23% this year. Additionally, Ellison is involved in financing his son David Ellison's ventures, including the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount, as well as backing the proposed acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, which is currently facing legal challenges due to antitrust issues
