Fairshake Crypto PAC Network Supports 32 House Candidates Ahead of Midterm Elections

Fairshake and its affiliated super PACs have announced a strategic push to support 32 congressional incumbents—19 Republicans and 13 Democrats—who have shown support for the cryptocurrency industry. This initiative comes just weeks before the midterm elections, which will influence the control of the House and Senate.

Fairshake's spokesperson, Geoff Vetter, emphasized the organization's focus on backing candidates who advocate for American innovation in the crypto space. The network is committing at least $1 million to six key incumbents, including Democratic Reps. Janelle Bynum, Steven Horsford, and Derek Tran, along with Republican Reps. French Hill, Bill Huizenga, and Bryan Steil.

While the exact spending for the remaining candidates remains undisclosed, Fairshake has substantial financial resources, starting September with approximately $120.4 million in cash. This follows their earlier spending of $71 million in primaries, where their preferred candidates won 53 out of 57 races.

The urgency of this spending push is underscored by the recent setback of the CLARITY Act in the Senate, which aimed to clarify regulations for digital assets and shift oversight from the SEC to the CFTC.

The candidates supported by Fairshake are positioned to play crucial roles in the next Congress, particularly those on the House Financial Services Committee, which will be pivotal in determining the future of crypto regulation in the U.S
