The majority of the funds, nearly 90%, are allocated to Senate races, with Texas receiving the largest share of over $247,000 to support Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton against Democrat James Talarico. Talarico has significantly outspent Paxton, which has prompted America PAC to ramp up its support for Paxton through targeted social media efforts.
Other notable expenditures include approximately $170,000 in Maine for Republican Sen. Susan Collins and nearly $106,000 in Ohio for Republican Sen. Jon Husted. The PAC's spending on House races is comparatively modest, totaling nearly $90,000 across eight contests.
This financial commitment follows a meeting between House Speaker Mike Johnson and Musk, although Johnson did not disclose specific commitments made by Musk regarding midterm spending. Musk's political contributions have fluctuated in the past, but he has recently re-engaged with Republican leaders, authorizing America PAC to potentially spend up to $120 million in the upcoming elections.
The current expenditures represent only a small portion of this potential investment, and the PAC's financial status shows it has raised $50.3 million while spending $52.3 million, leaving a modest cash reserve of about $274,000
