Kenneth Ren, a technology consultant at RealMan Intelligent Technology, is leading efforts to train humanoid robots at a Beijing-based center, which is part of China's strategy to enhance its robotics capabilities. The center, supported by the local government, focuses on teaching robots to perform tasks across various industries, including housekeeping and factory work.

Instructors like Fudi Luo utilize motion capture and data generation to enable robots to learn autonomously. The training process is intensive, with robotic hands undergoing approximately 10,000 training iterations to master new skills. Tesla CEO Elon Musk acknowledged the competitive edge China has in scaling manufacturing for humanoid robots, despite claiming superiority in design.

The initiative reflects China's ambition to integrate AI-powered robots into the workforce, taking on roles that are hazardous or undesirable for humans, while emphasizing that the goal is not to replace human workers but to assist them
