VinSpace announced on Tuesday that it will launch its satellites aboard a SpaceX Transporter rideshare mission in 2027. This partnership is crucial for VinSpace as it aims to test its technology in orbit and support future commercial applications.

Established in November 2025 and part of the Vingroup conglomerate, VinSpace is focused on becoming a full-service aerospace company, which includes capabilities in satellite design, manufacturing, and operations. Vietnam has been working to enhance its aerospace capabilities for decades, having launched its first telecommunications satellite in 2008.

The country aims to establish itself as a mid-level space power in Southeast Asia by 2030. The collaboration with SpaceX also follows Vietnam's recent approval of SpaceX's Starlink service, indicating a strategic move to bolster its technological infrastructure while navigating international trade dynamics.

VinSpace's CEO, Thu Vu, emphasized the importance of reliable access to space for operational missions, although the company has not disclosed specific details about the contract's value or the satellites involved
