U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper ruled that Donald Trump's name must be removed from the Kennedy Center, a performing arts venue in Washington, D.C., following a previous order issued on May 29.
The Trump administration sought to delay this ruling while appealing it, but Cooper denied their request, stating that they failed to demonstrate a strong likelihood of success on the merits of their case. The Kennedy Center had been renamed the Trump Kennedy Center in December, shortly after Trump appointed himself as a trustee and removed several board members.
This decision is significant as it reflects ongoing legal disputes regarding Trump's actions and their implications for the governance of public institutions
