Edge Markets is introducing a new infrastructure through its Edge Pro service, designed specifically for institutional trading in prediction markets that operate continuously. The system allows institutions to pre-authorize capital deployment and set transaction limits for AI and trading algorithms.
This development comes in response to the limitations of traditional banking systems, particularly during off-hours when margin calls can occur.
Seni Thomas, the founder and CEO, emphasized that the new payment infrastructure, Edge Connect, will enable clearing houses to automatically access additional collateral when needed, thus preventing unnecessary liquidations and improving market resilience.
The launch of this product, expected later this year, is supported by partnerships with firms like River Markets and ParlayX, which will provide their clients access to this innovative solution.
This move is particularly relevant as perpetual futures, which trade continuously, have gained traction in the market, highlighting the need for more robust financial infrastructure to support these products
