Analysts Loop Capital upgraded Dollar Tree (DLTR) to Buy and raised target price to $140 (upside +23%)

Loop Capital's analyst Anthony Chukumba believes that Dollar Tree is well-positioned to thrive amid economic uncertainty, which is expected to drive its stock price up. The firm raised its 12-month price target for Dollar Tree from $130 to $140, suggesting a potential upside of about 23% from its recent closing price.

Chukumba noted that the ongoing multi-price initiative at Dollar Tree could sustain comparable store net sales growth, especially as consumer confidence wanes, making discount retailers more appealing.

Despite a recent decline of over 13% in Dollar Tree's shares due to rising gasoline prices and reduced consumer purchasing power, the analyst sees this as an opportunity for the company to attract more customers.

Additionally, the sale of Family Dollar, which Dollar Tree acquired for $9 billion in 2015 and sold for $1 billion in 2025, has allowed the company to refocus its capital on growth initiatives, including share repurchases.

Loop Capital's bullish outlook contrasts with the broader market sentiment, where a majority of analysts maintain a hold rating on the stock, indicating a divergence in expectations for Dollar Tree's future performance
