Analysts Ritholtz Wealth Management highlight Okta, Inc. (OKTA) amid cybersecurity stock pullback following Fortinet’s disappointing results

Fortinet's underwhelming earnings report has led to a sell-off in cybersecurity stocks, including Okta, which has seen its share price drop from a recent high of $222. Despite this, Okta remains a leader in the identity management space, boasting over 20,000 customers, including two-thirds of the Fortune 100.

The company reported a revenue of $805 million for the last quarter, exceeding expectations, and raised its full-year guidance to between $3.22 billion and $3.23 billion. However, with the stock trading at approximately 57 times its FY27 non-GAAP EPS guidance, the market is cautious.

Analysts are particularly focused on whether Okta can maintain its momentum as it approaches its next earnings report on December 1, where it is expected to generate between $813 million and $817 million in revenue. The stock's performance is being closely watched, especially as it tests key support levels around $190.

If it breaks below this threshold, it could signal a more significant downturn, while a recovery above $235 could lead to a retest of previous highs near $300. Overall, the current market sentiment is mixed, and investors are advised to remain vigilant as the situation develops
