Stocks Making Significant Moves Premarket: Walmart, Coinbase, Moderna, Alibaba, and Others

Walmart's shares fell 6% after reporting a revenue beat for its second quarter, but its U.S. comparable sales growth of 2.6% fell short of the 3.5% expected by analysts. Additionally, the company's earnings per share guidance for the fiscal third quarter and full year did not meet expectations.

In contrast, crypto stocks experienced gains, with Coinbase rising nearly 7% and Strategy jumping 10%, driven by a surge in Bitcoin and ether prices following President Trump's push for crypto-friendly legislation. Alibaba's shares dropped 3.4% after the company reported a 75% decline in profits for the June quarter, attributed to increased spending on artificial intelligence.

Moderna's stock decreased by 7% after a significant 177% gain the previous day, despite promising trial results for its cancer vaccine. Nordson's shares rose 5.4% after the company raised its full-year earnings guidance, now expecting adjusted earnings between $11.80 and $12 per share, surpassing analyst expectations.

Conversely, Advance Auto Parts saw a nearly 15% drop after reporting mixed second-quarter results, with revenue of $1 billion falling short of the $2.04 billion expected. Coty shares slipped 14.5% following a larger-than-expected quarterly loss, while Wolfspeed's shares fell 10% after its quarterly revenue missed estimates, despite a smaller loss per share than anticipated.

NetEase's U.S.-listed shares also declined nearly 4% after missing earnings estimates
