Coca-Cola and Sherwin-Williams Report Strong Earnings, While Hilton and Universal Health Services Lower Guidance

Coca-Cola's shares rose 2% after it reported adjusted earnings per share of 97 cents, surpassing the 93 cents expected, along with revenue of $13.38 billion, above the anticipated $13.16 billion. Sherwin-Williams saw a nearly 6% increase in its stock after posting adjusted earnings of $3.70 per share on revenue of $6.79 billion, both exceeding analyst expectations.

Conversely, Hilton Worldwide's stock fell 2.7% despite beating second-quarter earnings and revenue, as its third-quarter guidance of $2.28 to $2.34 per share fell short of the $2.43 consensus estimate. Johnson & Johnson's shares increased over 2% after agreeing to a $5.5 billion settlement for lawsuits related to its talc products.

Cadence Design Systems' stock rose 3% following adjusted earnings of $2.11 per share, beating expectations. In contrast, Rambus shares dropped more than 4% despite reporting adjusted earnings of 77 cents per share, exceeding the 72 cents forecast. Universal Health Services' stock fell 3% after it lowered its full-year earnings guidance.

Welltower's shares climbed 4.5% after raising its full-year guidance, while Happen's stock advanced over 6% due to a positive earnings outlook. Cincinnati Financial's stock dipped nearly 2% after reporting operating earnings of $1.43 per share, missing the consensus estimate of $1.84
