Stocks Surge After Hours: Palantir Technologies (PLTR) Rises 10%, On Semiconductor (ON) Gains 5%, and Snap (SNAP) Jumps 11%

Palantir Technologies saw its shares surge by 10% following a remarkable second-quarter performance, driven by a nearly 150% increase in U.S. commercial revenue. On Semiconductor's stock rose 5% after it reported earnings of 74 cents per share on revenue of $1.6 billion, surpassing analyst expectations of 71 cents per share and $1.59 billion in revenue, along with improved margins.

Snap's shares jumped 11% despite reporting a loss of 10 cents per share; however, its revenue of $1.6 billion exceeded the anticipated $1.54 billion, and key metrics like global daily active users and average revenue per user were also better than expected.

In contrast, Whirlpool's stock fell 3% after it reported a larger-than-expected loss of 21 cents per share against an anticipated loss of 5 cents, with revenue of $3.52 billion also falling short of expectations. Additionally, Whirlpool lowered its full-year earnings guidance, which could raise concerns among investors
