This push comes as recent analyses reveal that the U.S. military's inventory of advanced missile interceptors, such as Patriot and THAAD systems, has dropped significantly, raising concerns about the safety of American troops. For instance, the number of Patriot interceptors has decreased from 2,330 before the conflict to an estimated 759 to 827 currently, a reduction of over 65%.
The urgency of this situation is compounded by stalled defense spending legislation in Congress, which is currently grappling with disagreements over military funding increases.
