On Wednesday, oil prices fell with Brent crude futures dropping 0.75% to $98.51 per barrel and U.S. West Texas Intermediate futures decreasing 1.03% to $89.59 per barrel. This decline comes after President Donald Trump reported a 'very good meeting' with Iran's delegation, which lasted about three hours, raising hopes for a diplomatic resolution to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

Paolo Broccardo, CEO of BankPro, noted that Pakistan's mediation efforts could further reduce the risk of escalation. He also indicated that oil prices are unlikely to surge significantly in the near term, as they have fallen nearly 12% over the past five sessions, retreating from the 'intervention zone' above $100 where peace-building efforts have intensified.

This context suggests that while there is cautious optimism in the market, the volatility in oil prices may continue as geopolitical developments unfold
