Nvidia has unveiled the DSX Pod AI Factory, which integrates seven Vera Rubin AI racks into a shipping container, weighing approximately 28,000 kilograms. This innovation is designed for easy transport and rapid deployment, allowing new AI data centers to become operational in just 14 days, a substantial reduction from the previous six-month timeline.

Ian Buck, Nvidia's vice president of hyperscale computing, emphasized the simplicity of the setup process, requiring only placement and connection at the site. Although Nvidia did not disclose pricing, analysts estimate that a single Vera Rubin rack exceeds $7 million.

The DSX Pod is a reference design that will be manufactured in collaboration with partners like Foxconn and Lenovo, with deliveries expected to commence in early 2027. This move marks Nvidia's evolution from a chip manufacturer to a comprehensive provider of data center solutions, as highlighted by CEO Jensen Huang, who noted the increasing value of data center infrastructure.

The DSX Pod aims to address deployment challenges, particularly for European customers, and reflects Nvidia's strategy to enhance its offerings in the rapidly growing AI sector
