Kalshi Partners with Comply to Enhance Insider Trading Compliance for Prediction Markets

Kalshi, a prediction market platform, has announced a partnership with Comply, a compliance technology company that serves over 5,000 financial firms. This collaboration will integrate Kalshi's prediction market trade data into Comply's regulatory software, allowing companies to monitor employee trades on event contracts and ensure compliance with internal policies.

Jamila Mayfield, Comply's chief regulatory service officer, emphasized the need for well-designed compliance programs in prediction markets. Kalshi's vice president of business development, Max Crowley, noted that institutional firms are increasingly inquiring about compliance surveillance as they consider entering the prediction market space.

The partnership follows a similar agreement with StarCompliance and aims to provide firms with the necessary tools to monitor trading activities, potentially preventing blanket policies that prohibit employee trading on event contracts.

Sudhir Jain, Kalshi's chief compliance officer, highlighted that such technology enables companies to track employee trading behavior rather than resorting to outright bans. This development is significant as it addresses the compliance challenges faced by companies navigating the emerging asset class of prediction markets
