Analysts Bank of America initiate coverage on IonQ (IONQ) with a buy rating and $60 price target

Bank of America believes that IonQ's recent acquisitions, including Sky Water Technology and Seed Innovations, will enhance its capabilities in quantum computing and expedite the launch of its next-generation platform, Superion 256, expected in the second quarter of 2027.

Research analyst Vivek Arya noted that these deals will allow IonQ to control chip development and manage complex quantum workloads, which are crucial for scaling its technology. Despite a 16% increase in stock price over the past month, IonQ has underperformed the broader market year-to-date, with only a 1.3% gain compared to the S&P 500's 13%.

Bank of America projects a 69% compound annual growth rate in sales from fiscal 2026 to fiscal 2030, but cautions that any delays in product launches or commercial adoption could jeopardize this optimistic forecast and the price target
