Indian AI Infrastructure Firm AM Intelligence Seeks to Raise $3 Billion to Acquire Nvidia’s Next-Generation Rubin Chips

AM Intelligence plans to finance the purchase of 29,000 Nvidia Rubin GPUs through a combination of bond issues and bank loans, with an initial $300 million expected from potential offtakers.

The company, which is linked to the founders of Greenko, aims to invest $6 billion to establish 100 MW of computing power across facilities in Malaysia and India, with plans to expand to 400 MW within two years. This move aligns with a broader trend in India where energy companies are transitioning to AI infrastructure, as highlighted by other firms like Yotta Data Services.

The adoption of Nvidia's Rubin GPUs, designed for advanced AI applications, is expected to give AM Intelligence a competitive edge in the market, particularly as enterprises shift focus towards low-latency production capabilities.

Neil Shah from Counterpoint Research noted that this development could significantly impact the AI infrastructure landscape in India, as companies increasingly offer computing-as-a-service solutions
