Ford is responding to customer demand and industry trends by making its F-150 trucks more accessible. The starting price for the 2027 F-150 Raptor will be $77,800, down $4,000 from the current model, while the Tremor will start at $62,400, which is $5,300 lower.
These price reductions are achieved by removing some standard features, such as heated second-row seats, and opting for manual controls in certain areas. Additionally, the 5.0-liter V-8 engine will now be available across all F-150 models, including the premium King Ranch and Platinum trims, marking a significant shift since the 2023 model year.
Todd Eckert, Ford Blue senior director of truck consumer marketing, emphasized that these changes broaden customer options without compromising the trucks' capabilities. This strategy aligns with Ford's efforts to recover from production setbacks caused by supplier issues affecting aluminum components, which are critical for the F-Series trucks.
