Analysts Citi expect CoreWeave (CRWV) shares to rise following strong second-quarter performance and positive profitability outlook

CoreWeave reported a remarkable 112% increase in second-quarter revenue, reaching $2.6 billion, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier, primarily due to heightened demand from hyperscalers for AI compute capacity. The company anticipates third-quarter revenue between $3.4 billion and $3.6 billion, although it continues to operate at a loss, with operating expenses also doubling to match revenue.

CEO Michael Intrator highlighted a pivotal moment for the company, noting that customer demand is accelerating and partnerships are deepening, including a significant $1 billion investment from Jane Street and an additional $21 billion commitment from Meta.

Analysts from Citi remarked on the positive developments in CoreWeave's performance, suggesting that the company is gaining stronger pricing power and better margins, which could lead to increased investor confidence and a rise in share prices.

The broader market for neocloud providers like CoreWeave is also benefiting from the AI boom, with other companies in the sector, such as Nebius and Supermicro, experiencing stock price increases as they prepare to report their earnings
