On Tuesday, Alibaba revealed its next-generation AI chip, the Zhenwu V900, which boasts three times the performance of its predecessor, the Zhenwu M890. This announcement was made during the Alibaba Cloud's Apsara Conference in Hangzhou, where the company also outlined plans to increase its global data center capacity to over 20 gigawatts by 2032.
This move aligns with a broader trend among tech companies investing heavily in AI infrastructure, as seen with Nvidia and Meta's recent initiatives. The Zhenwu V900 is set for mass production in the first quarter of 2027 and is already in use by over 650 clients across various sectors.
