On Wednesday, Tekever announced its valuation of $6.4 billion after securing $580 million in funding, driven by the urgent need for advanced defense solutions in Europe due to the Ukraine war and threats from Russia.

The company specializes in AI-powered autonomous systems, particularly surveillance drones, which have been operational in Ukraine for over 50,000 flight hours since the onset of the conflict in 2022. The funding round was led by University of California Investments and Baillie Gifford, with participation from several other investors. Tekever's recent contract with the U.K.

Ministry of Defence, valued at up to £400 million (approximately $530 million) over a decade, further underscores its strategic importance in the defense sector. CEO Ricardo Mendes emphasized that the investment will enable Tekever to enhance its global presence and technological capabilities.
