In March, Warren Buffett indicated that Berkshire Hathaway had made a minor investment, which has now been identified as a $55 million stake in Macy's, a small fraction of the company's over $300 billion portfolio. This investment fits Buffett's description of a 'tiny purchase,' especially when compared to Berkshire's larger $2.6 billion investment in Delta Air Lines disclosed in the same quarter.

However, the filing only reflects U.S.-listed positions, suggesting that Buffett may have been referring to other investments not captured in this disclosure. Despite stepping down as CEO, Buffett remains actively involved in investment decisions, working closely with Berkshire's director of financial assets, Mark Millard.

Additionally, Berkshire has been restructuring its portfolio, selling off significant positions in companies like Mastercard and Visa as part of a strategy to unwind investments linked to former manager Todd Combs, who has moved to JPMorgan. Ted Weschler continues to manage a portion of the portfolio, overseeing about 6% of the holdings
