Alibaba has unveiled its latest artificial intelligence chip, the Zhenwu M890, which boasts performance three times greater than the previous Zhenwu 810E model. This new chip features 144 GB of GPU memory and an impressive interchip bandwidth of 800 GB per second.
The company has already distributed 560,000 units of the Zhenwu chips to over 400 customers across 20 different industries, indicating strong demand for its technology. Additionally, Alibaba is set to launch its next generation large language model, Qwen3.7-Max, further expanding its AI offerings.
This development comes as Alibaba collaborates with China Telecom to establish a data center in southern China that will utilize its own chips, reflecting the country's increasing emphasis on developing domestic AI infrastructure
